In 2023, Young took the world by storm as he won the World Cup Tasters championship. Yes, this means he tastes coffee super, damn well. The Cup Tasters championship is where the best tongues and noses of the coffee world come together and compete.

In summary, it’s where they need to accurately guess and match the coffee notes that they were given - 6 times in a row. That’s like asking you to smell a tomato and tasting random ketchups that match in note and aroma.

But with bragging rights like that, things weren’t easy. Training was tough which I’m sure you can imagine tasting and matching sips of coffee for hours. In his training, he used STTOKE cups as his choice of gloves, boots, and headgear (you get what we mean). 


This was to ensure that precision in tasting was its highest consistency. Giving him just that slight edge during the championship environment. It was, a dream come true. Other than blood, sweat and tears, it was also science:
