FAQs
A little care goes a long way. Find answers about your STTOKE, from the first sip to the everyday clean.
General
What are STTOKE cups & jugs made of?
STTOKE cups and jugs are made from 304 food-grade stainless steel, BPA-free, and lined with German-engineered Greblon® Ceramic for a cleaner-tasting drink. The exterior isn't built for rough handling (see Care & Cleaning below for tips on keeping it scratch-free).
What can I use my STTOKE cups & jug for?
Coffee, matcha, tea, hot chocolate, juice, whatever you're drinking, the ceramic lining keeps it tasting like itself. With double-wall insulation, your drink stays at the right temperature for up to 6 hours.
Safety note: Liquids above 75°C can build pressure within the cup. Keep your Leakproof/Splashproof Lid open to release it, and always open it facing away from you.
How long does it keep drinks hot or cold?
- 8oz Commuter cups: up to 3 hours hot and 6 hours cold
- 12oz & 16oz Commuter cups: up to 6 hours hot and 8 hours cold
- 20oz Leakproof Straw Cup: keeps drinks cold for up to 10 hours (Not recommended for hot beverages, as drinking hot liquids through the straw may cause burns to your tongue or mouth.)
- Sharing Jug: up to 6 hours hot and 8 hours cold
- 7oz Swirl cup: up to 30 mins - 1 hour hot and 2 hours cold
- 12oz Swirl cup: up to 1 hour hot and 5 hours cold.
What are the sizes and weight of each cup and jug?
Sizes range from the 7oz Swirl to the 20oz Leakproof Straw Cup. For exact height, weight and base measurements, check our full Size Guide.
Do all STTOKE cups fit in a coffee machine?
Our 7oz Swirl and 8oz Commuter cups fit standard commercial and domestic coffee machines.
Will I burn my hand if I hold a hot cup or jug?
No. The double-wall vacuum insulation keeps heat inside and the exterior cool to the touch.
Where is STTOKE made?
Designed in Melbourne, Australia. The Greblon® Ceramic application is completed in China.
What does powder coating mean?
A heat-cured, dry finish that’s slip- and scratch-resistant and dishwasher-safe. Powder coating products are available in the Earth Series (8oz, 12oz, 16oz, and 20oz), Swirl Cups and the Sharing Jug. Our powder-coated products are more durable and convenient to leave in your bags.
Care & Cleaning
STTOKE products are made for everyday use, not rough handling. Avoid loose bags, hard sponges and metal utensils because friction and abrasive cleaning can scratch the coating. These wears are not covered under warranty.
How do I clean my STTOKE cups and jug?
Best to handwash (unless stated otherwise). Rinse before first use, then wash with warm, soapy water and a soft sponge before each use, and air- or towel-dry completely. Only the powder-coated finishes (Earth Series and Sharing Jug), lids, and tea infusers are dishwasher-safe (top rack). Not sure about your finish? Email us at hello@sttoke.com.
How do I clean my leakproof lid?
Hand-wash gently in warm, soapy water using a soft-bristled brush on the drinking edge. For a baking soda soak:
- Mix 1-2 tablespoons of baking soda with warm water and soak for 30 minutes.
- Wash your lid with mild detergent and rinse.
Don’t detach the black flip /tab because it is designed to stay in place. Store your cup with the lid off so everything can dry completely.
Can I stir my beverage in a STTOKE cup?
Yes, with a wooden or silicone spoon. Skip metal, glass, ceramic or sharp utensils, which can scratch the interior coating.
Can I put it in the microwave, fridge or freezer?
No, the stainless steel body isn’t microwave-safe, and fridge or freezer temperatures can damage the vacuum seal.
Does the coating or anodising peel?
Our Earth Series anodising is the most durable to friction. The others are porous by nature. Avoid loose bags or heavy friction. Check with our customer support team at hello@sttoke.com for more clarification.
How do I care for the Kerrie Series (Sleeves, Sttrap and Polly Sttrap)?
- Kerrie Sleeves & Sttrap (vegan leather): wipe with a damp cloth, blot spills immediately. Do not machine wash.
- Kerrie Polly Sttrap (woven): wash gently with mild detergent and warm water, then air dry. Do not machine wash.
How do I clean my Hydrate+ Extensions?
Hand wash the lid as usual. Clean the extension base with a soft sponge and dish soap, and use a straw cleaning brush for the caps and straws. You can also use the baking soda soak method:
- Mix 1-2 tablespoons of baking soda with warm water and soak for 30 minutes.
- Wash your extension base and straws with a mild detergent, then rinse.
Can the STTOKE products be recycled at the end of their life?
Yes, they are made of 304 food-grade stainless steel, which is widely recycled. Please dispose responsibly through your local metal recycling program.

Will I get a tracking number?
Yes, the tracking number will be sent to your email once your order ships.
Where is my order?
We’re a small team, so please allow up to 3 business days for processing during busy periods (Public Holidays and Festivities such as Lunar New Year, Christmas, and year-end holidays). Once shipped, you will receive tracking info. The estimated delivery times are on our Shipping page.
My tracking says “delivered”, but I haven’t received it.
Carriers occasionally mark parcels as delivered before they actually arrive. If you still haven’t received your parcel after 3 business days:
- Contact the shipping carrier for updates (also to check for any service alerts, e.g. natural disasters or weather disruptions) on the carrier’s site.
- Email us at hello@sttoke.com
- Check with neighbours or building security.
I think my order is lost. What do I do?
Contact the shipping carrier directly using your tracking number; they can usually resolve this faster than we can. Still stuck? Email us at hello@sttoke.com.
Why isn’t my tracking updating?

Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?
If you need to make changes, please email us at hello@sttoke.com with your order number within 6 hours of placing it. Changes or cancellation after 6 hours cannot be made as the order is likely being processed.

Important shipping information.
Once an order is dispatched, we cannot redirect or reroute it. STTOKE is not responsible for customs delays. Import duties or fees, if applicable, are the recipient’s responsibility.
Returns, Refunds and Warranty
What’s covered under STTOKE’s 30-day money-back guarantee and how do I claim it?
If your cup or jug is not performing as expected, e.g. insulation not holding, airflow issues, or a leaking lid, you can claim a replacement or refund within 30 days of delivery. Email hello@sttoke.com with your order number and a photo or video of the issue. Approved refunds (full amount plus shipping, minus a 3.5% processing fee) take 7-10 business days; a free replacement is also available if you’d prefer.
Can I return an order for any other reason?
Currently, we do not offer general returns outside the money-back guarantee above. If something’s not right, reach out to us via email at hello@sttoke.com. We’re glad to help figure out the next best steps.
My products have a manufacturing defect. What do I do?
Email warranty@sttoke.com with a photo or video of the defect and your proof of purchase. All items are inspected before shipping, so any manufacturing defects are eligible for a free replacement with the same or a similar product.
I bought from a retailer or reseller. Who handles my warranty claim?
Please contact them directly; it is usually the fastest path since they hold your purchase record. Keep a soft copy of your receipt for any claim. Still stuck, email warranty@sttoke.com.
What’s the 2-year extended warranty, and am I eligible?
It adds 2 extra years of manufacturing-defect coverage on top of the standard 2 years, for a total of 4 years. It covers one item per order purchased directly from sttoke.com, provided it is still within the standard warranty period. Items from third-party sellers are not eligible for this.
My lid is leaking. Is this covered?
Ensure that the SnapFit lid is properly aligned with the STTOKE logo. If the leak persists, please reach out to us at warranty@sttoke.com.
My cup has a smell or stains on the ceramic interior. What do I do?
STTOKE cups and jugs are lined with Greblon® Ceramic, which is odourless and stain-resistant. However, frequent coffee or tea use could cause mild discolouration or lingering smell over time. To clean naturally:
Method 1: Baking soda soak:
- Mix 1-2 tablespoons of baking soda with warm water and soak for 30 minutes to neutralise the acids.
- Wash your lid with mild detergent and rinse.
- Rinse and air-dry your cup or jug.
Method 2: Vinegar solution:
- Mix equal parts of white vinegar and water
- Let it sit for 20 minutes to break down alkaline stains, such as tea stains.
- Rinse and air-dry your cup or jug.
If odour persists, fill the cup with boiling water and soak for 2 hours before washing again.
Still an issue? Get in touch with us at hello@sttoke.com
IMPORTANT: Avoid using hard sponges, metal spoons or sharp utensils, as they can scratch the coating. Damage caused by improper cleaning is not covered under warranty.

Yes, all of our Sttraps (leather and woven) come with a double hook-and-ring design that lets you switch up how you want to carry your cups in seconds.
How do I clean them?
- Kerrie Sleeve & Sttrap with Extensions (vegan leather): wipe gently with a damp cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a mild soap solution and a soft cloth. Avoid soaking. Dry with a clean towel, then let air-dry completely. Avoid exposure to excessive heat and humidity.
- Kerrie Polly Sttrap (woven): to clean dirt, use a soft and damp cloth or sponge. Wash with gentle detergent in warm water and scrub with a soft-bristled brush. Air-dry to maintain the material integrity. Keep away from direct sunlight to avoid weakening and discolouration.
- Kerrie Bag: hand-wash only using cold or lukewarm water (below 30°C / 86°F). Use mild, non-abrasive detergent. Do not bleach, tumble dry, iron, or dry clean. Air dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area. Avoid direct sunlight to preserve material integrity and colour.
About STTOKE Lids (Splashproof lid, Leakproof lid (1.0 and 2.0), Leakproof Lid for 20oz and Hydrate+ Extensions)
Which cups are compatible with STTOKE lids?
- Splashproof lid: Omni 8oz Cup, Splashproof Cups (12oz) only.
- Leakproof Lid (1.0 and 2.0): Commuter Cups (8oz, 12oz and 16oz) only.
- Leakproof Lid 2.0 for 20oz: 20oz Leakproof Straw Cup only.
- Hydrate+ Extensions: Commuter Cups (8oz, 12oz and 16oz) only.
What’s the difference between Leakproof Lid 1.0 and 2.0 vs the original Splashproof lid?
Our Leakproof Lid 2.0 has the latest improved features:
- Lowered the flipping angle so it no longer touches your nose.
- Adjusted spout feature that creates a more concentrated and smoother liquid flow.
- The stepped spout design allows lips to lock onto the spout, enabling smoother, more controlled sipping.
- Curved interior design that reduces dead corners for easy cleaning and lowers the risk of dirt buildup.
The previous Leakproof 1.0 has a lower spout position, with a silicone spout that touches the nose when the lid is flipped. It also has a more dispersed spout structure, resulting in a slower, inconsistent flow. The 1.0 has a wider spout, causing liquid to spill down it when drinking. The 1.0 also has more interior dead corners, making it harder to clean and more prone to dirt buildup.
Our original Splashproof lid is a press-fit lid meant for Omni & Splashproof cups and is not compatible with the new Commuter Cups, which have screw threads. Splashproof lids come with a slide lid.
Note: We no longer produce both Splashproof Lids and Leakproof Lid 1.0.
What is Hydrate+ Extensions?
Hydrate+ extensions are an extension base that comes with two types of caps: a sports cap (with a straw) and a hydration cap, which can turn any of your Commuter Cups (8oz, 12oz and 16oz only) into a hydration bottle.
Hydrate+ extensions add an additional 5oz to your beverage when assembled onto your Commuter Cups.
How do I assemble the Hydrate+ Extensions?
Remove the original lid from the Commuter Cups (8oz, 12oz or 16oz) and screw in the extension base. Choose between the sports cap and the hydration cap.
How do I clean the Hydrate+ Extensions
Hand wash the cup as usual. Clean the base and caps with a soft sponge and a straw brush for straws. Hydrate+ extensions are dishwasher-safe (top rack recommended). Avoid microwaving, freezing, soaking in boiling water or exposure to direct heat, flames or sudden temperature changes.
Do the coloured versions of lids (Leakproof Lids and Hydrate+ Extensions) have the same features?
Yes, the coloured versions of Leakproof Lids 2.0 and Hydrate+ extensions carry the same core features. The coloured versions are designed for personalisation and customisation to your liking.
