SINGLE ORIGIN COFFEES | CENTRAL AMERICAN COFFEE

SINGLE ORIGIN COFFEES | CENTRAL AMERICAN COFFEE

The coffee belt crosses through five continents, which are South America, Central America, Africa, Asia and Oceania; Thus there are many different single origin coffees available on the market. Here are some of our favorite from the South American Region:

    1. Costa Rican Coffee

Costa Rican coffees are generally believe to have some of the best coffee flavor profiles in south/central America, with high grown altitudes and a pleasant acidity, leading to great coffee reviews. The reputation has also resulted it being introduced to Starbucks under their "reserve" program. Its defining tasting notes include a brown-sugary sweetness, citrusy notes and apricot-like fruity flavors.

    2. Panama Coffee

Panamanian coffee is grown in the country's highlands. The coffee beans are typically light roasted and have a fruity flavor with hints of floral. These coffees are typically very delicate and have low acidity.

    3. Nicaragua Coffee

Nicaraguan coffee is grown in the country's mountainous regions. The coffee beans are typically dark roasted and have a smoky flavor with hints of chocolate. These coffees can be quite strong and have high acidity.

    4. Mexico Coffee

Coffee from Mexico is grown in the Sierra Madre Occidental mountains. The coffee beans are medium to dark roasted and have a nutty flavor with hints of chocolate. These coffees are typically very smooth and have low acidity.
